New and Unknown Sports

There are sports that are widely unknown and there are sports that are known widely. Everyday there are new sports that come about. Sports that are new and old. Unknown sports should be showed to the public more often. For instance, in ESPN the sports that they talk about are already known to everybody. There is nothing new to be heard of or learned. Some sports that should be shown to the public are extreme, cool, and weird. Many people are interested in different sports and some none at all. However, if more sports were given out there then there would be new people that are interested even girls. Some sports that are widely unknown are Chess Boxing, Wife Carrying, and Ferret Legging. One of the sports that will be explained is Chess Boxing. In Chess Boxing the players must be skillful in both sports. Players may win the game either way. For example, by a knockout or a checkmate. THERE WAS NO GAME! But there WAS rain. The Manager was interviewed and asked several questions. The coach was asked how does he feel that the Jackals were in fourth place he said, "Being in fourth place is not really where we want to be." Everyday before they go out to  a game they have confidence to earn a win. "We don't get a head of the hitters as much as we need to.""Staying positive going out there and playing everyday," was said by the manager of they stay motivated. The team consists of veterans and rookies. Veterans are people that have been here for more than six years and a rookie is someone new to the team. These people team up together to form one team of veterans and rookies. The rookies look up to the veterans for support and the veterans teach the rookies, but do not think of themselves above them, but just more experienced. Like every other team they love to win, but when they don't they wake up the next day go out thinking they're going to win. But, just like other teams they are demoralized too.

Red Bulls

The New York Red Bulls are a team that participates in the MLS. They are a professional soccer club that is in second place in the eastern conference standings. In this program there is a MLS Cup Playoffs and MLS Cup. In the MLS 2005 season their team name was MetroStars, but have changed their name to the New York Red Bulls when they changed ownership.

The New York Red Bulls contain about 28 players and the oldest one being 34 and the youngest 17. The first player that was interviewed was number 32 Luke Sassano who came from the state of California. Luke said that "soccer was his life."

The second player that was interviewed was number 11 Danleigh Borman. He came from South Africa, and has started playing soccer ever since he was 6 years old. He learned how to play the sport he was soon to love from his dad and cousin.

Bruce Harper

Bruce Haper has opened my eyes this morning to a new perspective towards life. You can never get lucky that is Bruce Harper's philosophy. He believes that, "luck is a byproduct of preparation." Bruce Harper has let nothing stopped him from doing what he wanted to do. Bruce Harper has had a passion for football ever since he was young. He would gather up all the kids in his neighborhood just to persuade them to play. Bruce Harper shares his love of the sport with everyone else and believes in teamwork. Bruce was not drafted into the NFL, but took his opportunity each and everyday. Bruce Harper is now the head of an organization called Cool Kids, which are high school students that spend time with elementary children and teach them to become leaders. Bruce Harper as an athlete still works hard now that he has retired. He runs a non-profit organization and doesn't spend his free time relaxing, but also goes out to play golf.

Lebron's decision will be aired at 9 o'clock tonight on ESPN. During the first 10 min. he will make his decision. According to Liam White, "Lebron's press conference will be held in Greenwich Conneticut close to the Knick's Training Facility." Who knows???
